It's the holidays, and LaDonna Bell of River Lane Relics is back with her final barn quilt class for 2024!
1. Poinsettia
2. Christmas Candy
3. Red Bird
Registration ends November 25. Due to the size of these barn quilts, there is a strict limit of 8 seats for this class.
Common questions:
Q. What is a barn quilt?
A. Barn quilts are a piece of wood painted to look like a quilt block and are usually displayed on barns. Traditional barn quilts can range from 4 feet square to 16 feet square. Our barn quilts are a more manageable 24" square. Because of their smaller size, you can display your finished square in your home or on a smaller shed. Our barn quilts are drawn on thick plywood, perfect for hanging outside or indoors. We provide you with a wire hanger to make it easy to hang.
Q. How difficult is it to paint a barn quilt pattern?
A. All of our patterns are chosen to be easy enough for a first-time student, and challenging enough for more advanced students. Your pattern is pre-drawn, and your instructor will guide you through the steps so your finished product is one you'll be proud to display for years to come. Ladonna's motto is "Perfectly imperfect."
Q. What should I expect during class?
A. Wear comfortable clothing that may get a little paint splattered. We provide aprons, but creating a work of art can be messy! We'll have beverages and a snack on hand, but feel free to bring your own drink if you prefer. Come for an evening of crafting and just plain fun. Even better, sign up with a friend or two, and you can each choose from three patterns, so everyone can paint the one they like best.
You'll also enjoy leisurely shopping and browsing during your class, as we'll be open late that evening. Be sure to check out LaDonna's handcrafted signs and artwork throughout the store!
Please note: class fees are transferrable, but non-refundable unless class is canceled by instructor.
